System requirements

In order to start Bibster you will need a Java platform on your system. Bibster was tested using J2SE 1.4.2 which is available at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html for free.

Quick installation guide

This section contains information about how to install and run Bibster on your system.

Installing Bibster

• Please make sure that you have a working version of JDK 1.4.2 (or higher) installed on your machine.
• Download the Bibster package from the download page.
• Start the JAR package (java -jar bibster-win32-install.jar) and follow the instructions.

Starting Bibster

• In your "Windows Start Menu" there is a link to the Bibster application. Alternatively you can start the system from the Bibster directory by executing the batch file "bibster.bat".
• Import your local BibTeX files and enjoy the system.
